The WAN Audrey Malling Adult Scholarship
$500 awarded annually
by the Women’s Action Network

The scholarship is to reimburse the costs of continuing education required by one’s career, for general education college costs, upgrading skills or changing careers, professional development seminars, or other activities related to personal or career growth. Costs incurred during the past 12 months will be considered.  The recipient must be 25 years of age or older and female. Submit a one-page letter explaining how the scholarship will be used to further enhance your personal or professional aspirations.  Applications will be considered based on the applicant’s ability to benefit herself and her community. Scholarship winner must attend the May 16, 2011 meeting of the Women’s Action Network at which time she will receive the scholarship funds which reimburse her education costs.

1. Members of WAN will be given preference before other applicants
2. Payment will be made directly to individual upon presentation of continuing education cost receipts.
3. Recipient is chosen by the Adult Scholarship committee. All decisions are final.

Women’s Action Network Honors Charter Member Audrey Malling

To honor charter member Audrey Malling, Women’s Action Network  (WAN) officially renamed their adult scholarship the WAN Audrey Malling Adult Scholarship. “Audrey gave of her time and energy to WAN like she did to everything else in her life,” said current president Linda Sinclair. “It seems only fitting that we honor her by giving her name to our adult scholarship.’

The WAN Audrey Malling Adult Scholarship is given  to reimburse the costs of continuing education required by one’s career, for general education college costs, upgrading skills or changing careers, professional development seminars, or other activities related to personal or career growth.

Women's Action Network Graduating Senior Scholarships

Women’s Acton Network provides two (2) $500 scholarships to graduating students in the area. Students graduating from high schools in districts where a WAN member resides are eligible to apply for the scholarship.  All applications are reviewed by the WAN Student scholarship committee. Deadline for applications is March 1, 2011.
